Overland Jeep Build: 2010 Jeep Wrangler and Off-Road Adventure Trailer

Brandon Hinton’s Jeep can survive hard-core trails, and his trailer can, too!

We met Brandon Hinton and his 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited overland build on Four Wheeler's Overland Adventure East. The Jeep is loaded with features making long-distance trips comfortable and hardcore trails possible. Brandon pulls an M416 trailer behind the Jeep, and as we witnessed, the trailer goes everywhere. He built the trailer tough enough to handle all the trails the Jeep goes down while still carrying enough camping gear to satisfy groups of friends and family.

For a more in-depth look into Brandon's Jeep and trailer, check out the feature story in Four Wheeler magazine available where magazines are sold on November 20, 2020.

Brandon's Jeep overland build includes a stretched M416 trailer that's been color-matched to the 2010 Wrangler and fit with the same Mamba Offroad M19 wheels and 37-inch mud-terrain tires worn by the Jeep.

The trailer is the same width as the Jeep, so winding through tight trees is no sweat. It has also been stretched 22 inches and rides on a Rancho lift kit intended for a Jeep CJ-2A.

Smittybilt is the name on the tent mounted to the overland trailer.

To make space for its 37-inch tires, Brandon's overland Jeep build includes a 3.5-inch Metalcloak lift kit and Bilstein shocks. His Dana Ultimate 44 brings the brawn up front, and a pair of Eaton ELockers help maintain traction.

Why We Dig This Jeep Overland Build

We enjoy seeing trailers built to wheel just as hard as the vehicles that pull them, and Brandon's M416 is no exception. Rescue Green with matching wheels and tires throughout the build make his setup visually appealing, while the 37-inch rubber, armor, and full payload of adventure gear are sure to make nights in camp just as fun as the hardcore trails required to get there.
