Exclusive Preview: Here’s A Tally Of What’s Coming In The August 2020 Issue Of Four Wheeler Magazine!

A look at what’s coming in the newest issue of Four Wheeler magazine, at newsstands June 26.

The August 2020 issue of Four Wheeler magazine arrives at newsstands around the world on June 26, and it's packed with great 4x4 content!

Rad Trails & Epic Events

The theme of the August 2020 issue is "Rad Trails & Epic Events." The issue includes great trail reports and event overviews, including the Chile Challenge in New Mexico, ROCO Adventure Week that ran from Vegas to Reno via the Rubicon Trail, a look at the first-ever Four Wheeler Adventure Expo, and a fun and fascinating overview of a Ram 3500 tow test that covered thousands of miles from Arizona to Alaska and back to Arizona.

Scores of 4x4s!

The August issue is packed with 4x4s, including a feature on Tim Nichols' homebuilt, 5.0L V-8-powered, solid axle 1999 Ford Ranger, Al Maurine's overland-ready 2001 Ford Explorer, and Todd Nonn's modified 2012 Jeep Wrangler that tows his homebuilt off-road teardrop pod. But that's not all. Not even close. We also compiled a massive collection of rigs from the 2020 Four Wheeler Adventure Expo and King of the Hammers.

Tech, Installs, and Tests

Want tech, installs, and tests? Of course you do. Four Wheeler contributor Jay Kopycinski procured a set of General Grabber X3 mud-terrain tires and used them to demonstrate the positive effects of low tire pressure off-road. You can read that story here: Benefits of Low Off-Road Tire Pressure. We also detail the build of a bone-stock first-gen Chevy Colorado with a Skyjacker suspension system, brakes, and other components from RockAuto.com, Mamba Offroad Wheels, and Kenda tires. If you can't wait to see the story in print, you can read it now at: We Install a Skyjacker 4-inch Lift System to Our First-Generation Chevy Colorado. Finally, we offer the third report on our 2019 Pickup Truck of the Year-winning Ram Rebel 12 pickup long-term test vehicle.

But Wait, There's More

Rounding out all the great content in the August 2020 issue is a look at upcoming 4x4 happenings in the off-road world, a collection of the latest 4x4 parts from the aftermarket that you need to see, a look back at the May 1965 issue of Four Wheeler, and much more.
